Anne-Marie Lowther on Court Decisions and Case Law:

Anne-Marie Lowther, lawyer at Miller Boileau

Anne-Marie joined the lawyers at Miller Boileau Family Law Group after several years of practice.  In addition to a keen legal mind, Anne-Marie stays on top of the newest decisions from the courts and the latest in law practice.  This ongoing love of learning and thirst for new knowledge helps Anne-Marie to challenge traditional thinking and find the fairest and most effective resolutions for her clients.  At the same time, Anne-Marie consistently seeks out the other lawyers’ opinions and the viewpoints they can share from their years of experience.

While Anne-Marie is often in court representing her clients, she always explores and encourages settlement discussions and all alternative methods of resolving disputes, including private Mediations and Arbitrations. Along with her regular involvement with the Canadian Bar Association and the Legal Education Society of Alberta, Anne-Marie is working towards the qualifications necessary to become a Registered Family Mediator. All of this makes her an invaluable part of the Miller Boileau Family Law Group.

Born and raised in Sherwood Park, Anne-Marie now resides in Edmonton. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Alberta and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan.

Above all else, Anne-Marie is an animal-lover and spends the majority of her free time with her family and pets. Perhaps that gives her an edge when a file sometimes feels like one is ‘herding cats’.
